CJSA wishes to keep its clubs informed of upcoming changes that may be made to existing policies. Clubs may respond in writing to any of the items by communicating with the CJSA President, your District Vice President or by emailing the State Office at actionitems@cjsa.org. Respondents must identify themselves by name, position and club affiliation and should represent the view or opinion of the club. This feedback will be provided to the BOD and the committee involved in the proposed changes.
At the March 10, 2008 Board Meeting, the CJSA Board of Directors will discuss the Premier Board of Governor Proposal for the Divisional Structure Change in the Premier League.
Divisional Structure
1. In U13 -16 age division the 1st Division shall consist of approximately eight (8) teams, 2nd Division* shall consist of approximately eight (8) teams, and the balance of teams shall be placed in 3rd* Division. The U17-19 age division teams will be assigned groups by the Premier League Chairman.
2. In U13-15 age divisions*, at the conclusion of each spring playing season the eighth (and lower if more than eight teams) place finisher in the 1st Division shall be relegated to the 2nd Division for the following spring and the 2nd Division top finisher will be promoted to Division 1. In U13, U14 and U15 age divisions; at the conclusion of each spring playing season the eighth and lower place finishers in the 2nd Division shall be relegated to the 3rd Division for the following spring and the top finisher in 3rd Division will be promoted to 2nd Division. The following spring if open spots become available due to teams not returning to the league the BOG will make the final decision of which team will fill the open division 1 spot(s).
